The collection consists of two items: advertising card for Huntley & Palmers Polar Biscuits, bordered with a design of polar bears and penguins, mentioning Scott and the Terra Nova expedition, and describing the current product as a tribute inspired by the biscuits they created for the expedition; also, advertisement removed from unknown magazine, advertising the same biscuits, with pictures of four of the eight designs sported by the biscuits, showing scenes inspired by the expedition. Both appear to date from the earliest days of the expedition, circa 1910.

The Terra Nova Expedition, officially the British Antarctic Expedition, was an expedition to Antarctica which took place between 1910 and 1913.
